Your source for news in Hot Springs County
Along with everything that was on the primary election ballot, Hot Springs County voters will also see additional opportunities to vote, including school board, cemetery board and others.
Four-year terms for the school board include incumbents Nichole Weyer, Clay VanAntwerp and Joe Martinez. New on the ballot is Will Farrell. Incumbent Sherman Skelton is the only name on the ballot for a two-year term on the board.
Choices for Cemetery Board are Jeanie Love, Cindy DeVries and Barbara Tomes Vietti.
Jack Kuiper and Bonnie S. Smith were both on the primary ballot running for East Thermopolis Town Council and they will be joined by Gary Holbert who moves to the general election after qualifying as a write-in candidate.
Ken Smith is the only one running for the Fire District in the general election and Jim Andreen is the only applicant for urban Conservation District.
Along with Alberta Hurley and Tina Keasling for Kirby Town Council, Zachary Crees will also be on the ballot having qualified as a write-in.
Bill Williams and David Koerwitz will both be on the ballot for four-year terms with the hospital board.
There are also two write-in additions for Hot Springs County Commissioner who will join Phil Scheel on the November ballot, Sharena Fruciano and James Michael Byrd.
