Master Gardeners offer Chinese take out Sunday

Its Chinese take out for a special cause as the Red Dirt Master Gardeners hold their annual Farm to Plate Fundraiser.

This Sunday, August 23, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Community Hall behind the Community Church, you will be treated to egg drop soup, pork stir fry, spring rolls, rice, frozen fruit cups and a fortune cookie, all to benefit the Master Gardeners.

Dinner will be $15 per person or $25 for two with all meals being served in to-go boxes for you to enjoy at home.

All the proceeds from the evening go to special programs with the Master Gardeners as well as upkeep for the community garden.

Tickets for the event will be available Saturday morning at the Farmer’s Market, 8 a.m. near Bicentennial Park.
