Our view - Going back to school

We are entering the “dog days of summer”, when temperatures soar and parents are more than ready to send their progeny back to school.

Of course, going back to school this year is going to be interesting to say the least. Everything is going to look different than before, with all of the sanitizing that’s going on, the social distancing in the classrooms and trying to get first graders to wear a mask without chewing on them or using them as sling shots.

There will be all kinds of new guidelines for school as well as for sports and activities, but the Wyoming High School Activities Association, along with coaches and activities directors have put a lot of hours and effort in over the summer in an attempt to make things run as smoothly as possible.

Last week’s Independent Record featured two full pages of school information. If you missed it, stop by we still have copies of that issue available.

As parents, grandparents and fans our job is going to be to just continue to support our students and our athletes as much as possible. That Bobcat pride will need to be loud!
