Two Republicans and three Democrats are on the Primary Ballot seeking the Wyoming US Representative seat.
Republican
Liz Cheney: Incumbent Cheney backs ending federal overreach and restoring local control to Wyoming. In addition she believes our veterans deserve both care and benefits. She wants to see tax cuts and job creation while protecting Wyoming values. She stands up for farmers and ranchers and supports Wyoming’s seniors. Cheney also believes in securing our borders and fighting illegal immigration.
Blake Stanley: As a conservative, Stanley believes in limited government, the sanctity of life, and letting business and industry lead the state’s economy. As a veteran he believes we have an obligation to take care of our veterans from the moment they enlist. He backs both social security and Medicaid to help those in need. Stanley says Wyoming’s people should have access to public federal lands.
Democrat
Carl Beach: A Wyoming native, Beach made it clear he is not a politician, but rather an educator, humanitarian and activist deeply concerned with the direction of our state and our country. Beach believes in sustainable jobs, state and individual rights and conservation of our lands and natural resources. He believes in diversification of our economy to meet the needs of new businesses as well as providing the infrastructure and support for quality access to those industries.
Lynnette Grey Bull: Building and adding on to the Affordable Care Act is a priority for Grey Bull along with protection of public lands and the belief we need to diversify our economy to include businesses and jobs outside the oil and gas industry. She stands behind Wyoming farmers and ranchers, knowing food security for everyone is critical. In addition, she believes education should be fair across the board and that every Wyomingite has access to education, teachers have the support they need and students have what they need for fulfilling careers.
Carol Hafner: Hafner is running on a platform of Medicare for All, overhauling the V.A. to help Veterans, net neutrality, protecting the environment, ending the detention of refugees and abolishing ICE, Hafner also believes in privacy rights at home and supporting the rights of women and LGBT citizens.
