Our view - Enjoy the fair

The Hot Springs County Fair kicks off on Saturday, July 25 with the Horse Show beginning at 8 a.m. All events will be held at the HSC Fairgrounds.

Starting on Monday, a variety of other animal shows and fun events will be held throughout the week. See the fair schedule ads on page 6 and B2 for a complete list of fair events.

Although social distancing regulations have caused a few changes, there is still something for everyone at the fair.

This year in place of the pig wrestling there will be an Ag Olympics where teams of six test their skills at ag based fun and games.

There will still be a Family Fun Night, just minus bouncy houses.

Get you and your pet dressed up to compete in the always fun Pet Parade.

The popular Chili Cook Off will be held this year will only minor social distancing restrictions.

As with every year, the fair will finish off with the Judges’ Choice Bake Sale and Junior Livestock Auction Friday night.

With so many fun events during the week don’t miss the opportunity to get out and enjoy one, two or all of them.
