Hot Springs County’s Land Use Planning Commission has been working on revisions to the land use plan for quite some time and is now ready to hold a public hearing and comment period.
The current version of the plan was approved and adopted in 2002 so this 2020 revision will bring the plan into line with current state and federal regulations, make it easier to read and includes items that were changed after public comment on the previous plan.
Written comments may be mailed or delivered to the County Planner’s Office, Hot Springs County Courthouse, 415 Arapahoe before August 24.
A public hearing will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 19, starting at 6 p.m. in the County Annex building.
Anyone wanting to take a look at the plan before the hearing is encouraged to pick a copy up at the courthouse, planner’s office, the library or online at hscounty.com.
