Spirit of Travel photo contest winners announced

The Hot Springs County Travel & Tourism and Thermopolis Independent Record are proud to announce our winners of the First Annual Spirit of Travel Photo Contest. Winning photos for each category and names of the photographers are featured on this page.

Each winner receives $50 in Thermopolis Chamber Bucks. “It was a tough choice – we had so many great entries,” said Tourism Director Jackie Dorothy. “In the end, we chose the photographs that best represented tourism in Hot Springs County and had unique perspectives of our great area.”

The winners were selected from six categories and entries ranged from the scenic to comical. The winners were chosen by the board of directors and community members for the stories that they told.

“Everyone involved had a great time with this contest,” Dorothy said. “We would love to make this a tradition so start taking photos for next year. And a big thank you to everyone who entered. It has been fun seeing all the different interpretations of what Hot Springs County tourism means.”
