Thermopolis FFA members honored

The Wyoming FFA was forced to cancel its convention due to Covid19. The convention was to take place April 15-18 in Cheyenne. It was decided to hold an online celebration, the 2020 Wyoming FFA Jubilee. This way they could recognize members and advisors and their accomplishments over the 2019-2020 Wyoming FFA year. They offered videos and online workshops.

Several Themopolis FFA Chapter members were recognized as part of the state jubilee.

FFA State Degree recipients are: Audrey Axtell, Spencer Axtell, Hunter Bartholomew, Logan Shumway and Riley Shaffer. Earning their state degree is great recognition for all of their hard work in FFA for the past four years.

As part of the Employment Skills Leadership Develeopment Event (LDE) Audrey Axtell moves on to the semi final round of competition. In this LDE, students use many leadership skills including active listening, problem solving and decision making as well as improve their written and oral communication skills.

The chapter was also recognized as a Two Star Chapter along with 13 other chapters in the state. Chapters must submit written application, have an onsite visit. They are evaluated on and recognized for providing valuable educational experiences for the entire membership. Advisor Britton Van Heule said, “Being recognized as a two star chapter is definitely an honor.”
