Vonda Lou Ilg Southard

Vonda Lou Ilg Southard, 80, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2020, at Worland Health Care in Worland, Wyo.

Vonda was born November 19, 1939, to Ira and Evelyn Kirkpatrick Ilg.

She raised six children and taught them to fish, hunt and enjoy the great outdoors. She taught them to enjoy life to the fullest and enjoy life as God gave it to them, the good and the bad. Vonda enjoyed spending time with family and friends and helping anyone that she could from conversations to a place to stay. Through her life she worked in nursing fields, sawmills, ranches and many other help agencies.

Vonda was survived by daughter, Lois Haynes of Thermopolis; sons, Hazen Jensen of Basin, Ira Jensen of Helena, Mont., Leslie (Annette) Jensen and Ray (Shawna) of Kalispell, Mont.; grandchildren, Keith Carothers, Rusty Jensen, Nathan, Vonda, Deanna, Jennifer, Louise, Alley, Sarah, Allan (Megan), Ian (Lisa), Melody, Derrick (Sam) and Scott (Melody); and 21 plus great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Evelyn Ilg; three husbands; and oldest child, Jake Elmer Elliott.

Graveside services were held April 30 at the Basin Cemetery. Donations may be sent to Attwood Funeral Home in Basin, Wyo. Attwood Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
