Everett Seaton, 86, passed away at Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital, Thursday, February 27, 2020, after a period of failing health.
Born November 19, 1933, in Jackson, Wyo., he was one of three children of Robert and Letha (Curtis) Seaton. Following high school, he was drafted into the U S Army in 1953, serving in Korea, and discharged in 1955. Everett then attended Casper College on the GI Bill until he met and married Jane Donald in 1957.
His livelihood included a partnership with Matt Brown; ranching, oil field work, logging, and finally as a self-employed heavy equipment operator.
On March 25, 1987, Everett married Lilly (Willis) Brewster in Meeteetse, Wyo., sharing a mixed family of five.
He enjoyed fishing and was an avid non-fiction reader. He attended First Baptist Church in Thermopolis.
He is survived by his wife, Lilly; children, Dale of Meeteetse, Wyo., Dana Matsko of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Jene Seaton of Farmington, N.M .; step-children, Tracey Kinnaman of Thermopolis and Billie Lou McCord of Tucson, Ariz .; nephew, Brian Wise of Riverton, Wyo .; twelve grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jane; a little sister; brother; granddaughter; and grandson.
Memorial services were held Friday, March 6 at the First Baptist Church. Pastor Harvey Seidel officiated. Inurnment followed at Monument Hill Cemetery.
