Dancing the night away

The Thermopolis Volunteer Fire Department held their annual Fireman's Ball Saturday at the VFW with live music provided by Rattlesnake Ridge. Funds raised at the ball go toward repair and replacement of equipment for the department. At their banquet, just prior to the ball, awards were presented. Jay Erk was named Fireman of the Year for 2019 by the department while Mike Mascorro received his five-year service pin, Ken Smith received his 10-year service pin and Mark Brawley received his 15-year pin. Firefighter Jerry Williams, pictured here with his wife Nancy, received an engraved axe at the banquet to mark his 30-year commitment to the department.
