Lady Cats fight hard against Worland

The Lady Bobcats lost a tough battle against number 3-ranked Worland Lady Warriors last week, 46-49.

“The team played really well for stretches of the game,” head coach Matt McPhie said. “Give credit to Worland, they made some plays early in the game and sealed the victory late.”

McKenna Bomengen led the team against Worland, scoring 13 points. Sesi Jensen added another 10 in the scoring column and Ashley McPhie chipped in nine.

Jensen and Kaylee DeVries led the way on the boards with both girls pulling down seven rebounds, including five offensive for DeVries.

Jensen added three steals and two assists to a productive night on the floor.

This weekend the girls will travel to Powell on Friday with the JV team hitting the floor at 4 p.m. and the varsity team starting at 5:30 p.m.

The Lady Cats will be at home on Saturday against Lovell.

The JV girls will play at the middle school at noon with the freshmen playing at 1:30 and then the varsity girls will take the high school gym at 3 p.m.
