Take your sweetheart strolling

What could be more romantic on Valentine’s Day than Strolling with your Sweetheart in Downtown Thermopolis?

Music, art, Valentine crafts, a bake sale and shopping combine to make the Second Friday ArtStroll a truly romantic one. The stroll will be on Friday, February 14, from 5-8 pm. Still Strolling Saturday will take place on Saturday, February 15, during regular downtown Thermopolis business hours.

New to the ArtStroll is Wyoming Leather and Lace, a business owned by Michelle and Ken Smith. Wyoming Leather and Lace will custom-engrave leather and many other materials. See samples of their creations during the ArtStroll. Bob Stehlin will be on hand with his wood-turned art and the HSCMH Auxiliary will be holding a Bake Sale Friday evening.

Stroll onward to see Deb Stroppel’s (Hawkwoman Photography) uniquely beautiful photography on display.

Be on the lookout for the art of Cal Fulfer. Fulfer, who hails from Worland, will be on hand to show and discuss beautifully detailed pyrography on beetle-killed blue-stained pine.

Harold Hutson and Friends will fill the evening with music, and look for sign-up sheets for future quilting classes while you’re strolling.

Need a last-minute Valentine for your Sweetheart, or would you like to give a Valentine to your favorite local business, or do you just want to have fun with crafts? Make a Valentine with Lara Shook and local artist Deb Stewart who will provide materials and a few ideas. This hands-on activity is free and open to the public. All ages are welcome.

ArtStrollers are encouraged to pick up a map at any Stroll business to find the location of artists. Return the map to the host business, Discover Thermopolis, for a chance at special prizes.
