Start Smart Sports registrations open

The Hot Springs Country Recreation District is opening registration for its Start Smart Sports Program.  It is offered to all kids ages three to five years old for basketball, soccer and baseball. This is a noncompetitive, one-on-one with the child’s parent, which focuses on developing fundamentals of each sport to teach the basics of each sport.

Parent participation is required for these programs. Parents can sign up their child for any or all of the sports offered during the 1st registration period.  

Smart Start Registration is January 27 - March 3 for $20. 

Basketball Practice Dates: Feb 24, March 2, 9, 16 and 23.

Soccer Practice Dates: April 13, 20, 27, May 4, and 11.

Baseball Practice Dates: June 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29.

You can register online at hscrecreation.com or at the Armory building during normal working hours (8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday - Friday). Participant space is limited to 20 children per program and is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
