The Thermopolis Volunteer Fire Department held their annual elections Tuesday night with Mark Collins retaining his position as fire chief.
Assisting him will be Bryce Gilbert, assistant chief, captain Brandon Blakesley, first lieutenant Dale Andreen, second lieutenant Jay Erk, treasurer Forest Coleman-Weisz and secretary London Jenks.
The department had 77 calls during 2019 including 28 vehicle crashes. They responded to seven structure fires and 10 grass fires, which burned approximately 312 acres in Hot Springs County.
They also made nine good intent service calls, responded to four Hazmat/gas meter calls, three dumpster fires, three vehicle fires and 13 false alarms.
