ArtStroll hits downtown

To celebrate “All things Warm and Cozy,” the Downtown Thermopolis’ Second Friday ArtStroll and Still Strolling Saturday will be held on Friday, Jan. 10 from 5-8 p.m. and Saturday, Jan. 11 during regular business hours.

Dress in your warmest winter clothes and stroll the Downtown shops, on both Broadway and on Fifth Street, to see artists, vendors, and performers.

Look for local artist Gavin Turner with his “Jack of All Arts” display. His mixed media display is sure to warm the spirits and the soul.

The Old West Quilt Guild has made quilts for the Hot Springs County Library, for use by children during story-time. These quilts will be on display during the ArtStroll at Gooseberry Gardens Quilt Shop.

Stroll around the downtown to find Bob Stehlin and his wood-turned art. ArtStrollers will also discover Andrea Linn and friends as they demonstrate their warm and cozy fiber arts. A musical performance by Harold Hutson will warm the hearts of Art Strollers of all ages.

ArtStrollers are encouraged to pick up a map at any Stroll business to find the location of artists. Return the map to the host business for a chance at special prizes.

The Second Friday ArtStroll/Still Strolling Saturday is organized by the Smoking Waters Art Guild with additional support from The Greater Learning Foundation, Main Street Thermopolis, Hot Springs Travel & Tourism and local businesses and individuals.
