If you and your family are looking for something unique to do on New Year’s Day, you may want to check out the First Day Hikes sponsored by Wyoming State Parks, Historic Sites and Trails.
This is the ninth year for the First Day Hikes at the state parks around Wyoming with guided hikes and walks offered at 17 different state parks and historic sites. Nearly 300 people participated in the hikes last year.
The hikes are led by park staff and volunteers, and average from one to two miles in length with various terrain at the different venues.
There will be two available in our area, one at Boysen State Park, which will be a two-mile hike through moderate to difficult terrain. If you are interested in this hike, please meet at the park headquarters on New Year’s Day at 10 a.m.
