Hot Springs County High School’s Robotics teams recently competed at the Helena, Montana State Qualifier Tournament.
According to coach London Jenks, Team 4273 ended the qualifier matches in fourth place with a 4-1 record. Team 7283 ended their qualifiers in ninth place with a 4-1 record.
Team 4273 competed in the semi-finals on the third place alliance and finished their day there. They were previously qualified for the Montana State Championship from the Butte Tournament a couple of weeks ago.
Team 7283 was selected by the fourth-place team to participate in semi-finals with them and finished in fourth place. The team will probably be qualified for the Montana Championship as well after their performance in Helena.
The Montana State Championship tournament will be held in Bozeman on January 17.
“Both robots and teams improved a lot between their last tournament and this week,” Jenks said. “They both performed well and will be working over the next few weeks on robot refinements and driving practice to become more efficient and competitive.”
