Thermopolis’ Middle School girls basketball teams went into the Thanksgiving break with games against arch rivals, Worland.
The eighth grade teams played on their home court with the 8A team holding Worland to just six points in the first quarter.
Although they fought hard, including a buzzer beater by Kaitlin Barral, the girls lost in the end, 16-31.
Barral was the high scorer for the day with eight points.
The 8B game was a bit closer with the girls keeping Worland at just six points through the first three quarters.
Unfortunately, they weren’t able to keep them down in the fourth, losing 6-17.
Kayah Oliver, Kaia Galovich and Kadence Bowman shared top score with two points each.
The seventh grade teams were in Worland for the day with the 7A team losing 10-37 while the 7B team beat Worland 22-10.
Jayssie Owsley was the high scorer in both games with six points in the A game and eight points in the B game.
