No shave November kicks off contest

Once the Mountain Men hit Wyoming, beards were all the rage. They’re a great protection against the cold months and now, all over the country they celebrate “No Shave November.”

Smoking Waters Barber Shop knows beards are a thing around here and they decided to make sporting that “stache” or “chin brush” worthwhile with the First Beard and Mustache Competition on Friday, December 20 at the VFW.

The competition will benefit the VFW’s scholarship program for a lucky local graduate and everyone is sure to have a great time.

There will be several categories you can enter, so don’t feel that just because you don’t have whiskers to your knees you can’t compete.

There is a $20 registration fee the night of the event and registration will start at 6 p.m. with the contest starting at 7 p.m. There will also be door prizes throughout the evening.
