Wrestlers compete at Lovell tourney

Last week saw the middle school wrestling team compete at Lovell.

This week will see the boys competing at home, with a quad on Thursday, Nov. 7, then travelling to Riverton on Saturday, Nov. 9 for a tournament.

In A Division 84, Chris Bapst received a bye in Championship Round 1, lost by a 24-second fall to Taylor Biggs of Cody in the Quarterfinal, received a bye in Consolation Round 2 and lost by a one-minute fall to Drake Ecker of Riverton in Consolation Round 3.

In A Division 91, Will Ward placed third and scored 13 team points. Ward lost by a 1:23 fall to Coatlyn Laird in the Quarterfinal, received a bye in Consolation Round 1, and won by a 1:58 fall over Zane Stam of Thermopolis in the Consolation Semifinal, and by a 1:38 fall over Myles Hensley of Cody in the third place match.

Stam placed two team points and won by a 9-2 decision over Hensley in the Quarterfinal, but lost by a 9-3 decision to JR Bernal of Worland in the Semifinal.

In A Division 98, Colter Price scored one team point. Price lost by a 38-second fall to Wyatt Dickinson of Worland in the Quarterfinal, won by a 10-6 decision over Jackson Larsen of Riverton in Consolation Round 1 and lost by a 6-4 decision to Landon Jones of Lander in the Consolation Semifinal.

In A Division 105, Dalton Price placed first and scored 21 team points. Price received a bye in the Quarterfinal, won by a 10-0 major decision over Matthew Emmett of Worland in the Semifinal and won by a 1:21 fall over Seth Needham of Thermopolis in the first place match

Seth Needham placed second and scored 14 team points. Needham also received a bye in the Quarterfinal and won by a 7-6 decision over Hunter Velarde of Lander in the Semifinal.

In A Division 110, Daniel Blair scored three team points. Blair won by a 10-2 major decision over Rudy Hall of Lovell in the Quarterfinal, and lost by a 17-2 tech fall to Aaron Trotter of Cody in the Semifinal and by a 2:54 fall to Cody Seifert of Powell in the Consolation Semifinal.

In A Division 120, Chris Arends placed third and scored 12 team points. Arends received a bye in the Quarterfinal, lost by a 55-second fall to Owen Lungren of Worland in the Semifinal, and won by a 2:03 fall over Klayten Sweeney of Lander in the Consolation Semifinal and by a 58-second fall over Ryan Arends of Thermopolis.

Ryan placed fourth and scored six team points. Ryan also won by a 4-0 decision over Sweeney in the Quarterfinal, lost by a 4:14 fall to Ruger Fritz of Powell in the Semifinal and received a bye in the Consolation Semifinal.

In A Division 132, Brody Sorensen lost by a 1:55 fall to Dawson Utterback of Worland in the Quarterfinal, received a bye in Consolation Round 1 and lost by medical forfeit to Isaac Gardner of Lander in the Consolation Semifinal.

In A Division 138, Ethan Music scored seven team points. Music lost by a 10-9 decision to Lu Larsen of Lander in Championship Round 1, received a bye Consolation Round 1, won by a 47-second fall over Patrick Connors of Cody in Consolation Round 2 and by a 2:44 fall over Bronson Newell of Worland in Consolation Round 3, and lost by an 8-4 decision to Larsen in the Consolation Semifinal.

In A Division A and B 145, Mason Reese placed third and scored 20 team points. Reese won by a 23-second fall over Daniel Clawson of Riverton in Championship Round 1 and by a 3:41 fall over PerryDean Kellers of Lander in the Quarterfinal, lost by a 59-second fall to Kaden Garcia of Lander in the Semifinal, and won by a 54-second fall over Mitchel Wainscott of Powell in the Consolation Semifinal and by a 3:03 fall over Fisher Martinez of Worland in the third place match.

In the same division, Blevins Little received a bye in Championship Roudn 1, lost by a 22-second fall to Isa Rose of Worland in the Quarterfinal, received a bye in Consolation Round 2 and lost by a 54-second fall to Wainscott in Consolation Round 3.

In B Division 77, Caden Dodd scored four team points. Dodd won by a one-minute fall over Jade Kuhm of Riverton in Championship Round 1, lost by a 13-5 major decision to Tyler Wilkerson of Lovell in the Quarterfinal, received a bye in Consolation Round 2 and lost by a 49-second fall to Kaiden Jones of Powell in Consolation Round 3.

In the same division, Jo-Jo Crow lost by a 17-16 decision to Atticus Kelly of Lander in Championship round 1, received a bye in Consolation Round 1 and lost by a one-minute fall to Jones in Consolation Round 2.

In B Division 84, Nolan Collins received a bye in Championship Round 1, lost by a 7-4 decision to Peter Edholm of Worland in Championship Round 2. Received a bye in Consolation Round 2 and lost by a 3:17 fall to Jack Guteirrez of Rocky Mountain in Consolation Round 3.

In B Division 105, Samuel Skelton placed first and scored 28 team points. Skelton received a bye in Championship Round 1, and won by a 3:39 fall over Ashten Hubbs of Cody in Championship Round 2, by a 34-second fall over Kash Brazelton of Powell in the Quarterfinal, by a 4:25 fall over Alex Jordan of Powell in the Semifinal and by a 16-9 decision over Ethan Yarrington of Thermopolis in the first place match.

Yarrington placed second and scored 23.5 team points. He received a bye in Championship Roudn 1, and won by a 15-0 tech fall over Holden Yeates of Riverton in Championship Round 2, by a 2:07 fall over Dexter Opps of Powell in the Quarterfinal and by a 1:07 fall over Jessen Basse of Thermopolis.

Basse scored eight team points. Basse received a bye in Championship Round 1, won by a 2:24 fall over Isaiah Woyak of Powell in Championship Round 2, won by a 7-0 decision over Haeden Blair of Thermopolis in the Quarterfinal and lost by a 58-second fall to Brazelton.

Blair scored 12 team points. Blair received a bye in Championship Round 1, won by a 2:51 fall over Chase Visocky of Powell in Championship Round 2, by a 41-second fall over Stone Pebbles of Thermopolis in Consolation Round 4 and by a one-minute fall over Opps, and lost by a 1:51 fall to Jordan in the Consolation Semifinal.

Pebbles scored four team points. Pebbles received a bye in Championship Round 1, lost by a 2:33 fall to Molly Borhoft of Riverton in Championship Round 2, received a bye in Consolation Round 2 and won by a 2:04 fall over Tatum Fisk of Lander in Consolation Round 3.

In B Division 115, Alix Sorensen placed first and scored nine team points. Sorensen won by a 29-second fall over JR Bohrer of Lander in Round 1 and by a 2:17 fall over Raedan Thayer of Worland in Round 2.

In B Division 120, Bridger Peil placed second and scored 20 team points. Peil received a bye in Championship Round 1, won by a 31-second fall over Levi Arthaud of Cody in the Quarterfinal and by a 24- second fall over Cody Bomengen of Thermopolis in the Semifinal, and lost by a 43-second fall to Toby Sessions of Powell in the first place match.

Bomengen placed fourth and scored 15 team points. Bomengen won by a 1:59 fall over Rowan Wilkerson of Lovell in Championship Round 1, by a 4:10 fall over Allen Crawford of Powell in the Quarterfinal and by a 1:21 fall over Kasey Jordan of Lovell in the Consolation Semifinal, and lost by a 30-second fall to Brody Potter of Thermopolis in the third place match.

Potter placed third and scored 18 team points. Potter received a bye in Championship Round 1, won by a 52-second fall over Jordan in the Quarterfinal, lost by a 1:18 fall to Sessions in the Semifinal and won by a 46-second fall over Crawford in the Consolation Semifinal.

In B Division 138, Kailey Allen placed second and scored 14 team points. Allen won by a 20-second fall over Sebastian Lefstein-Brown of Lovell in Round 1, lost by a 57-second fall to Jeremy Holloway of Greybull in Round 2 and won by a 51-second fall over Maddux Cole of Worland in Round 3.
