Munger receives jail time

Monday in Hot Springs District Court, Aaron M. Munger was sentenced to 3.5 years probation and 180 days in the Hot Springs Detention Center on charges of felonious restraint and misdemeanor reckless endangerment.

Prior to his sentencing, Munger pleaded guilty to the charges which were lessened from two felony counts of aggravated assault and battery. The charges stem from a March 23 incident in which Munger struck female subject with a .45 Springfield 1911, pinned her to the ground and threatened to kill her. The assault came after the two were in an argument.

Munger received his jail sentence on the endangerment charge. He was sentenced to a full year, though all but 180 days of that time was suspended. He will also have six months supervised probation following the jail time, which will run consecutive to the three years supervised probation he received for the restraint charge.
