All who are young at heart are invited to Stroll during the November Second Friday ArtStroll. “Young at Heart” artists of all ages will display their art during this month’s Second Friday ArtStroll and Still Strolling Saturday on November 8 and 9.
Second Friday ArtStroll will be from 5-8 pm on Friday, and during regular business hours on Saturday. Art created by children from Head Start, Children’s Resource Center, and HSCSD1 Pre-K Academy will be showcased.
The Head Start art display is hosted by Gooseberry Gardens. Discover Thermopolis is the host for the art from the Children’s Resource Center. Strollers can see the art from the HSCSD1 Pre-K Academy in the window at 500 Broadway Street (the corner of Fifth Street and Broadway).
Be on the lookout as well for art by Andrea Linn and Friends. Linn will be on hand on Friday evening to talk to ArtStrollers about her fiber art.
Also on Friday, ArtStrollers can stop by and see Doug Nelson’s photography and to talk to the artist himself.
Tom Butler, will showcase his newest collection of glass art, “Cracked and Sundry”.
The Smoking Waters Art Guild would like to welcome Roundtop General Store on Fifth Street to the ArtStroll. Norma Smith will keep the shop open for Friday evening’s ArtStroll and will greet strollers.
ArtStrollers are encouraged to pick up a map at any Stroll business to find the location of artists. Return the map to the host business for a chance at special prizes.
The Second Friday ArtStroll/Still Strolling Saturday is organized by the Smoking Waters Art Guild with additional support from Main Street Thermopolis, Hot Springs Travel & Tourism and local businesses and individuals.
