Thermopolis Middle School girls volleyball wrapped up their season this past weekend with the eighth graders playing at home and the seventh graders playing in Lander.
Coach Aimee Kay said the girls grew a lot this season and continued to build their fundamental skills in order to continue next year.
“Their overall record does not reflect their growth this year, but as coaches, Coach Bears and myself as well as the parents who watched were able to see it,” Kay said. “We continue to work on mental toughness and a winning mindset which can be difficult to cultivate at this level.”
Both the seventh grade A team and the eighth grade ran a 5-1 setup, which will help them transition to playing at the high school level.
The seventh graders started working on positional defense which is a higher level expectation along with the 5-1 they ran.
“We look forward to working with them in open gyms and camps this summer to continue to work on building strong fundamental skills,” Kay said.
