Time for transitions

It doesn’t seem like it should be nearly November already, but here we are. Nearly all the leaves have changed or fallen, sports seasons have or will be wrapping up soon and we’ve already had a touch of snow.

Though times of change may seem like things are going too fast for us to handle, there’s always something positive to them. Though season closers mean nearly a year to wait for fall sports to start up again, the performance of our students has been amazing these past few months. Our volleyball and football teams have had some amazing games and wins, not to mention our golf team repeating as 2A state champions and the cross country team improving through the season.

But, like the warm temperatures we saw in summer and early fall, the time for those moments to pass has come. But again, look to the positive. It's time for other extracurricular activities to take the stage — often literally — as students gear up for basketball, speech, drama and wrestling. Not to mention the abundance of music programs that come with the holiday season.

In this issue, we recognize the teams who made the late summer and fall such a great time here in Thermopolis. There are still a few events left in the season, so be sure to get out there and show your Bobcat Pride. And be sure not to let it die just because the end of the seasons are here, because the next events are just around the bend and all our students deserve a community that supports them.

If you need some help in showing pride in our students, look no further than their friends and classmates. Whether in the bleachers or the auditorium seats, they’re cheering their hearts out and coming up with some interesting chants that are fairly easy to learn.

So keep flying that purple and gold, attend what you can and ask about where you can give an extra if needed. Show that Bobcat Pride is more than just words. Carry it with you and show it wherever you go, no matter the season.
