Drama showcase set

Practices are well underway for the Fall Drama Showcase, which will be presented by the Hot Springs County High School Drama Club.

The showcase will be shown three nights, November 19, 21 and 22 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium.

Featured pieces will be what the students will be performing at the Wyoming State Thespiean Festival in Laramie in December.

The evening will be filled with monologues, duets, group scenes, musical solos, musical group numbers and the one act play, “The Tell-Tale Heart” by Luella McMahon. The one act is an adaptation of the short story written by Edgar Allan Poe and will feature seniors Taydee Landrum, Aime Robinson, Tyler Kay, Katie Burrows, Ashley Brawley and Kyle Mosser.

Students will also have their design pieces on display in the auditorium lobby where you may see a small presentation on what the process is the students went through to create their pieces.

There is no charge for admission to the showcase, but a donation jar will be in the lobby so you may make donations to help the students attend the Wyoming State Thespian Festival.
