The Bobcats fought hard last week against Mountain View, but unfortunately came away with a loss.
Coach Matthew McPhie said, "The team fell to Mountain View Friday night by a score of 35-0. We battled a tough team all night, we just struggled to slow them down and they had some athletes who we had trouble tackling.
"Offensively, Duder Harvey passed for a career high 167 yards. Jase Longwell added some big plays for the team with a big third down catch and a couple of nice runs. Remington Ferree anchored the line which battled hard all night- however gaining yards on the ground vs. Mountain View is a tough task.
"Defensively the team was led by Remington Ferree, Cade McLean, Blake Williams and Riley Shaffer. The boys had their hands full with an explosive offense.
"We have battled these first four weeks of the season. We've had some really tough competition. Currently, we've played the No. 2, No. 3, and No. 4 team in the state regardless of classification. We are closing the gap and have had some success on both sides of the ball verse some very stiff competition. We expect these challenges will help us down the road and will position us for a run in the play-offs."
The Bobcats hit the road this week for the first of four conference games, taking on Wheatland beginning at 6 p.m. Friday.
