National Public Lands Day celebration

By now you may have heard a new hiking trail is going in Hot Springs State Park that will make its way up T-Hill.

Saturday, September 28 is National Public Land Day and to celebrate, volunteers may come work on the new trail or help with some work at the new Disc Golf Park.

Bring along your shovels, rakes, picks, gloves, sunscreen and anything else you may think you will need at 8 a.m. to the Disc Golf Park for further instructions.

Lunch will be provided at noon by Friends of Hot Springs State Park and Legend Rock.

When everything is done, volunteers are welcome to play a little disc golf to see what its all about.
