Senior Center hosts health day

Seniors in Thermopolis and Hot Springs County should mark their calendars for a special “Senior Health Day” to be held next Tuesday, September 24 at the Senior Citizen’s Center.

There will be a number of interactive, health related booths from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.

Those attending can learn about things like fall prevention, driver safety and even scam alerts courtesy of Hot Springs County Law Enforcement.

Find out about all the resources available to seniors in the area with booths from the Wyoming Department of Health, Hot Springs County Public Health, the Senior Center, Pioneer Home, the HOPE Agency, Community Home Health, Frontier Home Health and Hospice from Casper, Red Rock Family Practice and more.

The Sheriff’s Department will be on hand doing a ‘take back’ of expired or unused drugs as well, so remember to bring those along with you.

Lunch will be available for seniors and their guests for a $4 donation. Everyone is encouraged to attend.
