Week full of activities for Homecoming

Homecoming Week for the Thermopolis Bobcats kicks off next Monday and the students have chosen the theme “Pop Culture Back to the 2000’s” for this year’s festivities.

Monday, students will dress up in their favorite characters for the day and the ever-popular “Mangeant” will be held in the auditorium at 11:45. Students will also be decorating the school hallways on Monday to see which class has the best decorations.

Those of a certain age will think they’re having flashbacks on Tuesday when student’s dress for the 80’s. That evening is sure to be fun with the Powder Puff football games and Buff Puff volleyball games at 7 p.m. in the gym and on the field.

Wednesday will be colorful with the different classes dressing in matching colors. The freshmen will be wearing yellow, sophomores in black, juniors in blue and the seniors will be donning pink for the day.

Entertainment on Wednesday will be the Lip Sync Battle and Air Band competition in the auditorium at 12:45.

Thursday is definitely a Wyoming day as the students will dress in cowboy or super puncher outfits. While the girls will be traveling to Newcastle for volleyball, the gym will be filled with dodgeball players starting at 7 p.m.

Everyone pull out your purple and gold for Friday’s parade, which will line up at 10 a.m. with a go time of 10:45.

Be sure to get to the game early on Friday night to enjoy the annual FFA Steak Dinner starting at 5 p.m.

Homecoming Royalty will be announced prior to kickoff of the Homecoming game at 5:30 with the Cats taking the field against Moorecroft at 6 p.m.

The activities continue on Saturday with the cross country meet starting at 10 a.m. at the golf course, followed by volleyball at the high school starting at 1 p.m. The Homecoming dance will be from 9-11 p.m. Saturday night.
