Probation in conspiracy

Judge Bobbi Overfield has sentenced Hollie Smith to three years of supervised probation for conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance, methamphetamine. Though sentenced to three to five years in prison, that term was suspended.

Smith had pleaded guilty to the charge, and a second count of unlawful possession of meth was dismissed. The charges are from a Nov. 2 incident, in which Smith was in a vehicle pulled over due to not having an illuminated rear license plate.

The officer observed open containers in the vehicle and upon further search discovered various controlled substances and paraphernalia.

It was later discovered, after she was incarcerated, that Smith had meth on her person, as she had been bragging about it.
