Not enough room for all

In addition to the fun, the competitions and the animals during the annual Fair Week, in the newspaper industry just how many pictures we can take in a week, a day, even an hour.

This weeks is one of our busiest in terms of photos, and when it’s all done we have, literally, thousands to choose from. Add to that the long lists of results coming in, regular events happening around town, and all the other news going on in Thermopolis, and it’s easy to see just how quickly our pages fill up.

Some might think that we’re partial to one person, business or organization, and we decide what pictures and stories to run based on that bias, but nothing could be further from the truth. The fact of the matter is that we carefully choose our pictures from the thousands we have, and write and revise our stories to bring you, our readers the most pertinent information. If we can help educate you in the people and goings on of the town and county, that’s an added bonus.

But the fact remains that we are limited, by space, in the size of stories and number of pictures we run. While it would be nice to see a full page of Tuesday night’s pig wrestling extravaganza, it’s just not cost effective for us.

But, thanks to technology, we do have the room for such things on our computers at the office and in our online galleries. If you or a relative didn’t make the pages like you hoped, don’t despair. We invite you to come to our office or check our website, thermopir.com, and get a look and understanding of everything we do.
