There’s no short supply of new business in town, and one of those planning to stick around after all the hail damage is repaired is Bazooka Lumber & Livestock, LLC.
Managing Member Brad Hutzenbiler said he’s been working with a lease agreement through John Dorman, Sr. for space, and is seeking something long-term at the former home of Owl Lumber. As the two front buildings at Owl Lumber are being used by a dent repair company, Hutzenbiler said he is using the back side.
Additionally, he noted, Dorman is currently doing loading and unloading for him, and has supplied him with a customer list.
Hutzenbiler said the opportunity to set up at the former lumberyard was there, but he was unaware it was closing until a customer mentioned the online auction to move its inventory. It worked out, he noted, that there were a couple guys with Bazooka in the area and they were able to work with Dorman.
With the dent repair company still here, Hutzenbiler said he would not be able to stock it as a full lumberyard yet, though he is strong in materials for roofing projects and can certainly get in any requested items. He added that he wants input as much as possible from customers on what they need.
Though unable to be here all the time, Hutzenbiler will be a the new business as much as possible, and can be reached at 307-271-2105.
Bazooka Lumber & Livestock is currently in its fifth year, having opened on June 15, 2015.
