Long line of Morgans

Nothing is more exciting in the spring than the birth of all the new animal babies, and this year, at the Bar None Morgan Ranch, they've had their fair share of excitement with the arrival of 17 new foals.

Harvey and Lois Seidel are the owners of the Bar None Ranch and if you look to the east on your way into the canyon, you just may catch a glimpse of the babies and their mothers running and playing in the grass.

The Bar None pedigree begins with a mare named Shawnee Lass and a stallion named Bombo the Seidel's had purchased from a life-long Hot Springs County resident, Ramul Dvarshkis.

A Morgan horse can come in many colors, from palomino and buckskin to blacks, bay, chestnut and occasionally white. They are one of the earliest horse breeds developed in the U.S. and have been used throughout history for harness racing, cavalry horses and just leisurely riding. They are known for their endurance as well.

If you would like a closer look, the Seidels are always happy to have guests stop by.

Although some of Seidel's foals have already found new homes as soon as they are ready, for now, they will just grow quickly on the summer grasses and nap in the sunshine
