On the Record policy

It is the Thermopolis Independent Record’s policy that all people arrested or cited under the “Accidents,” “Sheriff’s office” or “Police department” in the On the Record section are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Wednesday, June 12

10:20 a.m. Wyoming Highway Patrol requested assistance. The call was later cancelled.

Thursday, June 13

9:59 a.m. Deputy contact in regard to an adult protective issue.

Friday, June 14

5:28 a.m. A male subject walking in the buffalo pasture discovered a female in need of medical attention in a vehicle. The female was transported to the hospital and later life flighted.

3:54 p.m. Complaint of a vehicle tailgating and passing in “no passing” zones. The suspect vehicle could not be located.

Wednesday, June 12

12:11 a.m. A male subject was cited for possession of marijuana.

10:36 a.m. Complaint of campers parked on Broadway, blocking regular parking spots.

4:48 p.m. Tyler D. Asay turned himself in on a warrant.

5:04 p.m. A male subject was cited for possession of marijuana.

Thursday, June 13

4:36 p.m. A female subject was cited for possession of marijuana.

6:12 p.m. Two subjects were cited for possession of marijuana.

Friday, June 14

12:14 p.m. Report of a juvenile shooting a BB gun in town. The juvenile could not be located.

Saturday, June 15

4:16 a.m. Keith O. Bapst was arrested for alleged domestic assault.

5:10 p.m. Subjects setting off fireworks were advised such actions are not allowed in town.

9:59 p.m. Report of an assault, though no subjects were arrested.

Sunday, June 16

12:18 a.m. A subject was spotted walking down Hospital Hill and was given a ride due to the weather

10:44 a.m. Complaint that someone had picked up a camera he did not own. The camera was recovered.

12:02 p.m. Report of a stolen license plate from a trailer. The plate appeared to be broken off.

10:30 p.m. REDDI report, though the suspect vehicle could not be located.

Monday, June 17

3:37 p.m. Civil standby provided while a subject picked up a trailer.

Circuit court

Danny J. Anderson was found guilty of battery and was sentenced to six months in jail with six months suspension and one year supervised probation. Fees and fines are $205.

Ryan Proctor was found guilty of driving under the influence and was sentenced to 30 days in jail with 21 days suspension and six months unsupervised probation. Fees and fines are $455.
