The Wyoming State Board of Outfitters and Professional Guides meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, June 19, beginning at 8 a.m. at the Days Inn. The New Outfitter Training Course will be held at the same location on Tuesday, June 18, at the same location beginning at 2 p.m.
The State Board of Outfitters, in conjunction with the Wyoming Game and Fish Department, is holding meetings across the state to discuss interagency cooperation and action in regards to illegal outfitting and associated wildlife and land use violations in Wyoming. Game wardens, G&F investigators, along with key personnel from the United States Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management will be in attendance.
These meetings are going to be an open forum round-table style with the intent of fostering and strengthening the relationships between the agencies that oversee outfitting, wildlife and land use enforcement in Wyoming.
The mission of the Board, in order to serve and protect the public and maintain quality and professionalism within the hunting outfitting industry in Wyoming, is to license, regulate, review and evaluate big and trophy game outfitters and guides and enforce applicable laws, rules and regulations related to the outfitting industry.
