Shirley Jean Snyder, 77, of Greybull, Wyo., passed away Friday, May 17, 2019.
Born July 25, 1941, in Thermopolis, Wyo., she was the daughter of Alba and Dorothy (Skinner) Wood. She grew up in Thermopolis and Lucerne. On December 14, 1956, she married William Roy (Bill) Enis and this union brought forth four children, Gary, Debbie, Patty Jo and Mical. The couple later divorced.
She married Lee B. Snyder, November 12, 1989, and became a mother to Lee's boys, Mike, Mitch and Mark Snyder.
Shirley enjoyed reading and her favorite book was the Bible. She loved her dogs, Pepper and Lilly. In her earlier days she loved dancing with Lee. They also enjoyed traveling together, having lunch at the Senior Center and meeting with good friends after church at the café. She cherished her time spent in church and with friends. She loved her children, 18 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 18 great, great-grandchildren. Known as an opinionated lady, she was loved by all.
She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Lee of Greybull; children, Gary (Pam) Enis of Casper, Debbie (James) Young of Arkansas, Mike (Kim) Enis of Thermopolis, Mitch (Connie) Snyder of Laramie, and Mark Snyder of Boise, Idaho; sister, Peggie Hutchenson of Riverton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by both parents; brother, Tracy Wood; daughter, Patty Jo Zastrow; son, Mike Snyder; grandson, Doug Goldsberry; and granddaughter, Melissa Snyder.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 24 at 11 a.m. at Mortimore Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Monument Hill Cemetery. Memorials in Shirley's name may be sent to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
