Wheelie Slow Draw part of car show

The Smoking Waters Art guild will present a Wheelie Slow Draw Friday and Saturday, June 14 and 15, during the regular ArtStroll, as the stroll is happening the same weekend as the Hot Spot Car Rally, June 14-16.

During the draw, artists can start a painting or drawing of “something on wheels” Friday night during the ArtStroll, and finish it Saturday between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.

The event will be at the Masonic Lodge, 521 Arapahoe. Artists, art students and anyone else who might be interested is invited. Slow draw paintings will be auctioned off Saturday, June 15, at 6 p.m. Artists must bring their own supplies, and can also bring up to four additional works to sell. Tables will be provided to display additional works, but artists need to bring tabletop easels, if desired, for displaying their art.

Ten percent of the sale will go to the Smoking Waters Art Guild. Those interested in participating can contact Cindy Clancy at 921-8599.
