The sixth annual Thermopolis Brewfest, sponsored by Main Street Thermopolis, takes place in downtown on Saturday, June 1 from 3-7 p.m. Main Street Thermopolis has announced a lineup of popular regional musicians, and there will also be a performance by Hot Springs Dance, LLC at the Brewfest.
“The Brewfest committee has pulled together a great roster of regional musicians,” according to Suzanne Samelson, the Main Street president. “This early June event is a great kick-off to the brew festival calendar and a great opportunity to make a week-end of it in Thermopolis.”
Tanner Harmon, singer/songwriter from Lehi, UT, will perform his own material and covers. Tanner’s work can be humorous and thought provoking.
Jeff Troxel, who hails from Cody, has been featured on public television. He is a two-time recipient of the Wyoming Arts Council’s Performing Arts Fellowship in music composition and has won state flatpicking championships in Wyoming, Utah and nationally.
Rounding out the lineup is the band Arterial Drive, from Billings. They have a unique sound that blends with sweet vocal harmonies and a conventional rock and roll rhythm sound. They were named Winner of Livingston Battle of the Bands 2018, among other awards.
Wyoming artisan brews will be on hand from Teton Distributors, Black Tooth Brewing (Sheridan), Cowboy State Brewing (Glenrock), and Square State Brewing (Rock Springs) with new pours, old favorites, and some surprises. Mugs will be sold for $25 for sampling the brews. Wyoming Whiskey (Kirby) will also be joining in with their spirits. Non-alcoholic beverages will also be available at the event.
There will be food and merchandise vendors. The cornhole tournament will be open to children as well as adults this year. The popular color-on mural, provided by the Greater Learning Foundation, will be set up and there will be a bouncy house too. The historic buildings tour, led by our own Ray Shaffer, will give an insider’s tales of some of Thermopolis’s downtown treasures.
The sixth annual Thermopolis Brewfest is organized by Main Street Thermopolis with additional support from sponsorship from local businesses and individuals.
