Hot City Outdoor Day planned for June 8

Have you ever wondered how to learn to mountain bike? Or maybe you’re an “old hat” at fly fishing. Whatever your level of knowledge of the great outdoors, Hot Springs County Recreation is having a special day where beginners and veteran outdoor people can come together at their first Hot City Outdoor Day.

You may only participate in one group, but the day begins with check in at the Washakie Shelter in Hot Springs State Park at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 8. Events will begin at 8 a.m. and lunch will be provided at noon.

There will be two groups to choose from, group A featuring mountain biking, rock climbing, canoeing, kayaking and paddle boarding as well as fly fishing, and group B that will cover horse packing, 3D archery, GPS and bear awareness.

There are so many recreational opportunities in Hot Springs County and this is the perfect way to find out more about them.

Registration is online only at hsrecreation.com under the Programs tab and will be $30 per participant. Must be 12 or older to attend. Registration deadline is June 5.
