Graduation ceremonies for the class of 2019 will be this Sunday, May 19 at 2 p.m. in the Hot Springs County High School Gym.
Lane Randall and Jeffery VanAntwerp will address the class as Valedictorians along with Courtney Jeunehomme, this year’s Salutatorian. The featured speaker the class chose will be Tom Olsen.
Students will enter the gym wearing black caps and gowns along with purple stoles. Their class flower is the yellow rose, a symbol of friendship and optimism.
The class motto is “We may not have it all together, but together, we have it all.” The class has chosen Scotty McCreery’s song “Five More Minutes” as their theme song.
Look for the special graduation supplement in this Thermopolis Independent Record featuring all the graduates and congratulations from the community.
Other graduation and awards celebrations include the Pre-K academy graduation on May 22 at 5:30 p.m., RWE awards on May 23 at 1 p.m., eighth grade graduation and awards May 23 at 5:30 p.m., and awards for fifth through seventh grades will be May 24 at 10:30 a.m.
The last day of school for students will be May 24.
