Josh Schmidt, a former U.S. Marine and veterans service officer from the Wyoming Veterans Commission, will conduct community outreach services in Thermopolis on Monday, May 6, noon-2 p.m. at the Hot Springs County Museum and Thursday, May 16, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Hot Springs County Senior Citizens Center.
Services will also be available in Worland on Wednesday, May 1, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Worland Community Center.
Schmidt is available to meet with veterans and their families to discuss state and federal veterans’ benefits, Department of Veterans claims or VA healthcare. He can also help veterans and their families apply for benefits, file claims or request healthcare.
Appointments with Schmidt can be scheduled by calling 307-250-3890, and his office is staffed in Cody, at 1026 Blackburn Ave., Suite 1. In inclement weather, outreach locations can be contacted to ensure he is available.
Schmidt is also available to meet with veterans and their families in addition to the scheduled outreach.
