On the Record policy
It is the Thermopolis Independent Record’s policy that all people arrested or cited under the “Accidents,” “Sheriff’s office” or “Police department” in the On the Record section are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Tuesday, April 9
1:49 p.m. REDDI report, and after the suspect vehicle was located and stopped the driver was found to not be intoxicated. He was warned about his driving and given a repair order for a taillight.
Wednesday, April 10
4:16 p.m. Information was received about a sex offender living at a hotel near a school and not registering the address. The suspect was cited for residing within 100 feet of the school.
5:43 p.m. Nykomia Whiting was arrested for alleged failure to appear.
Friday, April 12
5:49 p.m. REDDI report near mile marker 128 on Highway 20, on a vehicle coming into town. The vehicle was located and the deputy observed infractions and affected a stop. Officers from the Thermopolis Police Department and Wyoming Highway Patrol responded as well. Robert L. Harrison was arrested for alleged minor in possession, Evan C. Washenfelder was arrested for alleged minor in possession and open container, and Kolton K. Bagant was arrested for alleged minor in possession.
Sunday, April 14
6:24 p.m. A motorcycle observed speeding through town was stopped and its rider cited for exhibition of acceleration.

6:36 a.m. A driver was cited for improper lane use.

8:31 a.m. A report was received of slashed tires. The matter is currently under investigation.

7:40 a.m. Brad A. Merritt was arrested for alleged probation violation.

6:01 p.m. Andrew B. Meador was arrested for alleged bond violation.
Tuesday, April 16
10 a.m. Austin V. Monte was arrested for alleged domestic battery.

Irelynn Rose O’Connor was born Monday, April 8, 2019, at Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital to Cortney and Ryan O’Connor.
She weighed 8 pounds and was 20 inches long.
