JoAnna Thomas

JoAnna Thomas, 73, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2019, at her residence in Conway Springs, Kan.

JoAnna was born July 25, 1945, at Cedar Falls, Iowa, to George and Ruth (Williamson) Atchison. She spent her early childhood in Iowa before moving with her family to San Bernardino, County California at the age of 10. She attended school in Fontana, Calif., and graduated from High School in 1963.

JoAnna later married David Kopack on October 15, 1993, at Dayton, Nev. They moved to Conway Springs in 1995. David died October 6, 1997.

JoAnna married John A. Thomas on March 9, 1998, in Conway Springs and the couple made their home at 504 S. Cranmer.

She is survived by her husband, John Thomas of Conway Springs, Kan. (formerly of Thermopolis); daughter, Jennifer (Curt) Halverstadt of Hacienda Heights, Calif .; sons, Bill (Trish) Gobble of Phoenix, Ariz., and Jamie (Linda) Cypher of Inglewood, Calif .; mother, Ruth Atchison of Hesperia, Calif .; sister, Sheila Butchko of Green Valley, Calif .; 3 grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.

JoAnna was preceded in death by her father, George Atchison; and brothers George and John Atchison.

Cremation has take place. A memorial graveside will be held at a later date with inurnment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Conway Springs, Kan. Ebersole Mortuary, Conway Springs is in charge of arrangements. On line condolences and guest book are available at http://www.ebersolemortuary.com.
