Staying focused

Xander Getzfried keeps up his pace during the snowshoeing competition at the 2019 Special Olympics Winter Games in Jackson. Getzfried earned two silver and two bronze. Other competitors and their total awards include: Brooklyn Cooley, unified gold and bronze; David Hansen, three gold, three silver and one bronze; Alyssa Simmons, two gold and two silver; Michael Sinchetru, two gold, four silver and one bronze; and Saraiya Sosa, unified gold and bronze. The Hot Springs County Special Olympics program is hosting their big fundraiser, the Jackalope Jump, on Friday, April 5 starting at noon at the high school.
