The Bobcat tracksters saw their first meet this season at Cody for the Yellowstone Sports Medicine Invite, and several matched or beat their personal records in events throughout the day.
Blake Williams hit a new personal recordswith a 20th place time of 25.03 in the 200 meters, and matched his personal record in the pole vault with a 10th place height of 10'6".
Jaxson Jensen set a personal record in the triple jump at a 15th place distance of 34'4.5" and Ethan Becher has a new personal record time in the 110 meter hurdles, finishing seventh.
On the girls side, Mariah Brooks matched her personal record with a ninth place height of 4'4" in the high jump. Setting new personal records were Dayna Crow with a seventh place finish of 1:10.10 in the 400 meters, and Jazmen Jensen with her 29th place time of 34.08 in the 200 meters.
Coach Aimee Kay said the team has about 30 students total, though with spring break, many on a trip to the Dominican Republic and sickness the number that showed up to the meet was down.
Overall, Kay said she has no complaints and there were even some students who have never competed who found out they're capable of more than they thought. She's eager to see how they do as a full strength team.

Though the Dominican Republic trip and spring break are switching things up with the regular schedule, Kay hopes team members will make it to the regular practices this week or find some time to practice. The regular schedule resumes on Monday, and the track team's next meet will be at Powell on Saturday, April 6.
