On the Record policy
It is the Thermopolis Independent Record’s policy that all people arrested or cited under the “Accidents,” “Sheriff’s office” or “Police department” in the On the Record section are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Monday, March 25
Jacqueline Schwalbe was arrested for alleged possession of a controlled substance.

Tuesday, March 19
8:30 a.m. A set of military dog tags was located and returned to their owner.
Wednesday, March 20
5:44 p.m. A resident informed a deputy he didn’t want people on his property.
Thursday, March 21
2:06 p.m. Complaint of a female subject on a property. It was later found she was allowed to be there.
2:56 p.m. REDDI report, though the driver was found to be not intoxicated. He was warned for following to closely.
Friday, March 22
2:47 p.m. Report of a vehicle being run off Highway 20 South. The suspect vehicle could not be located.
Saturday, March 23
1:30 p.m. REDDI report, though the suspect vehicle could not be located.
9:56 p.m. An off duty deputy observed juveniles loading pallets at a business. The juveniles were taken back to the business, where the owner told them to be sure and ask next time.
10:26 p.m. Gerald Frazer Jr. was arrested on a warrant.
Sunday, March 24
12:12 p.m. Report of a rolling domestic issue in a vehicle. The vehicle was stopped and it was learned the drivers had switched places because the female subject had become ill. The male subject was cited for driving with a suspended license.
2:39 p.m. A subject who lives in Kirby received reports of people snooping around a property. The property was checked and there were no signs of anyone.
6:23 p.m. Deputy responded to a custody dispute. The matter was deemed civil in nature.
Monday, March 25
6:10 p.m. Report of possible improper contact with a minor. The matter is under investigation.

Tuesday, March 19
10:06 a.m. Report of an accident in front of town hall, caused after a driver went to reach for a drink cup that fell.
12:56 p.m. Complainant reported a subject came to his house intoxicated. The suspect was gone prior to officer’s arrival.
5:30 p.m. Nathan M. Thomas was arrested for alleged destruction of property and unlawful contact.
Wednesday, March 20
4:53 p.m. Reported theft of a 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle. The matter is still under investigation.
7:33 p.m. Dario C. Gallo was arrested for alleged simple assault.
Thursday, March 21
5:13 p.m. Brian K. Soneson was arrested for alleged domestic battery.
Friday, March 22
12:19 p.m. Juvenile subjects were trespassed from a local business.
Saturday, March 23
12:11 a.m. Jeromie B. Ballinger was arrested for alleged possession of marijuana and stalking.
7:07 p.m. A bag found at the Kiwanis shelter was returned to its owner.
9:24 p.m. A strong odor of marijuana was detected at a local motel, though the exact room could not be determined.

Bryson James was born Sunday, March 10, 2019, at Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital to Colleen Searle and Jeremy James.
He weighed 6 pounds, 13 ounces, and was 20 inches long.
Grandparents are Keith Searle and Chuck and Debbie James.
Jayden Scott Dennis was born Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital to Alisha Luers and Dru Dennis.
He weighed 8 pounds, 2 ounces, and was 19 inches long.
Grandparents are Jim and Christina Joiner and Cathy and Brian Dennis.
Circuit court
William E. Pond was found guilty of open container and being a pedestrian under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance, and was sentenced to three days in jail. Fees and fines are $1,005.
Bronco T. Lonebear was found guilty of simple assault. Fees and fined are $450.
Michael J. Boykin was found guilty of possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced to one year in jail with one year suspension and six months unsupervised probation. Fees and fines are $255.
Herbert E. Urban was bound over to District Court on a charge of explicit sexual conduct with a child.
Property transfer
