Use caution in WR Canyon

Although the State of Wyoming has no plans for doing any rock scaling in Wind River Canyon until 2020, WYDOT foreman Shane Wilson assures us his team will be cleaning up whatever happens to come down.

Wilson urges folks traveling the canyon to take it easy and use caution right now since we’re getting into the thaw/freeze/warm up cycle that causes slides and larger rocks to make their way to the roadway.

There was a slide crews cleaned up on Tuesday morning near the dam and a larger rock fell to the roadway just a couple of weeks ago.
