Matthew P. Aleksich

Matthew P. Aleksich, 41, passed away March 7, 2019 at Loyola University Hospital.

He was born June 16, 1977, in Arlington Heights, Ill. Matthew was a long -term survivor of childhood cancer after a bone marrow transplant from his younger brother, Christopher. He had a variety of talents including Photography. F. E. Moran was his former employer as director of the I T department.

He is survived by his parents, Andy (formally of Thermopolis) and Sherry (Taylor) Aleksich; grandfather, Jack Taylor; brothers, Christopher (Jackie) Aleksich and Josh (Haley) Aleksich; sister, Anne (Jeremy) Willingham; niece, Emilee Willingham; nephew, Jesse Aleksich; Amy Taylor (Jason Diamond), and their triplets Tess, Jillian and Chloe; Jack (Kristalina) Taylor and their children Karina, Pierce and Lucas; aunt, Susan Beardsley; cousins, Michelle Petersen, Nik Aleksich and Amy Udhrain; and girlfriend, Sandi Behm.

Matthew was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ralph and Norma (Helkenn) Aleksich; grandmother, Virginia Pierce Taylor, uncles, Steve Aleksich John Beardsley.

Aunt Dee Swan guided our lives his whole life.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on March 16 at Gurnee Community Church, Gurnee, IL. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday at Kristan Funeral Home and 10-11 a.m. Saturday at Gurnee Community Church.
