Dance team brings home awards

Hot Springs Dance LLC competed last weekend at the Star Power event in Gillette.

Instructor Tess Williams said the dancers all did awesome, and the tap trio earned first place for their dance and an overall championship for their novice division trio. The small group team also earned a first place for their dance and second for their small novice group division.

Skylar Lippincott also received a first place award for her dance, a special judges award, the overall championship for the novice solo division and an invitation to a dance workshop in Orlando.

Williams noted this is the dancers have competed. While Lippincott may see additional competition this season, Williams said the majority of the dancers start to split up to attend various workshops.

Looking ahead for the year, Williams said auditions would be held in the fall for a team to compete in spring of 2020.
